Warner Music gets buddy, buddy with YouTube again

Business Week released a story today that Warner Music will release music videos of Jay-Z, Madonna, Green Day and other artists back on YouTube. It has been almost a year since Warner’s videos started disappearing on YouTube as they were unhappy with the revenue generated by their partnership with the online video giant.

This makes me wonder why big companies continue to think that removing content that reaches consumers faster than any mode of communication is the right thing to do. I understand that corporations need to profit off of their content but when a music video is released doesn’t it make sense to have potential customers/fans see it by any means possible therefore creating buzz around the product and making them more apt to go out and buy the album or song?

Mozilla tests multitouch HTML coding in Firefox

Mozilla’s intern Felipe Gomes was anxious to demonstrate the multitouch capabilities of Firefox using DOM events. He has built demos that explain that they are simple HTML pages that receive events for each touch point and use them to build a custom multitouch experience.

Check out the demo  from Felipe Gomes.

All of you web developers and designers out there may have to think differently how you code your pages in the near future. Do you think this will be the next episode in web evolution? Or will this just be for specific iterations like kiosks, in-store demonstrations or will Microsoft try to emulate this in Internet Explorer? Sounds like a new battle has arisen in the technoverse.
