Apple did this because they didn’t have a big retail presence other than the iPod and iPhone. Microsoft, you occupy half of every retail store that carries your products!

Mozilla tests multitouch HTML coding in Firefox
Mozilla’s intern Felipe Gomes was anxious to demonstrate the multitouch capabilities of Firefox using DOM events. He has built demos that explain that they are simple HTML pages that receive events for each touch point and use them to build a custom multitouch experience.

All of you web developers and designers out there may have to think differently how you code your pages in the near future. Do you think this will be the next episode in web evolution?
